Inger Johanne and Ingvar are expecting. Ingvar and the Swedish police are preparing for a State Visit by the American President, Helen Tyler. But the excitement of having the newly-elected president in Stockholm is short-lived, as Helen Tyler mysteriously disappears.
The Swedish police allocate all of their resources to the search for the American president. Inger Johanne realizes that her past is catching up with her when it becomes clear that Ingvar will be the Swedish contact for her FBI mentor, Warren Schifford.
Inger Johanne has to steel herself in order to bear working with Warren. The culture clash between the Swedish police and the FBI is becoming more and more evident as the search for the president leads to a dead bodyguard, Hunter Russell.
Leaks from the Swedish police prove to be from someone working on the Task Force. Ingvar and Inger Johanne determine that they cannot trust anyone but each other. At the same time, their private lives are really put to the test as Warren once again worms his way into Inger Johanne’s life.
Swedish police are still searching for a mole within their own ranks. The puzzle pieces slowly begin falling into place and Inger Johanne gets an idea that makes her decide to take matters into her own hands.
Warren has a hard time getting the rest of the FBI to listen to his theory about the president’s disappearance. Inger Johanne ends up in a very conflicted situation when Helen Tyler does not want to be found by the outside world.
Ingvar is forced, against his will, to cooperate with Warren to have a chance to find Inger Johanne and Helen Tyler. Inger Johanne begins to understand what is behind the president’s disappearance and realizes that there are very dangerous forces still looking for them.
In the season finale, the Swedish police and the FBI now know where Helen Tyler is, but will they get there in time? The President’s daughter, Zoe, finds out about a secret that causes her to act in haste.
