Civic Activism featuring John Siceloff, creator of NOW on PBS

Join KCTS 9 for an engaging discussion with renowned journalist and creator of NOW on PBS, John Siceloff. Siceloff will talk about his book Your America: Democracy's Local Heroes and how civic activism among ordinary people is shaping communities across the nation. Enrique Cerna, host of The New KCTS 9 Connects will moderate a discussion that will also feature Reuben Martinez, a California man who turned his barber shop into a book-lending outlet. Martinez's good work earned him a MacArthur genius grant for his incredible work in supporting literacy among Latinos in his community. Martinez was featured on NOW and in Siceloff's book.
